The Chinese New Year Dance Party was fantastic. The floor show was beautifully performed. Well done! The dance floor was lively with the variety of music and songs. The president, Jean Chung delivered his speech and informed us of the upcoming exciting events, the details of which will follow in due time. The lucky winners were just happy with their door prize and raffle prizes. What a lovely way to share our snacks, renew our friendship and to celebrate the Chinese New Year!

We look forward to you being a part of all future events and feel free to help in your own ways however trivial or little it may seem. It all adds up to a big event.

TOGETHER WE DO BETTER!

The renewal of membership went smoothly while the golf initiation was being played. Bryani chicken or beef with 'achard' and 'chatini' was then being served. After dinner, we had our A.G.M. followed by NAB loan representative, Bashir from Bentleigh branch who acknowledged, recognised and encouraged our raison d'etre as a Mauritian Chines Society while sharing the Australian way of life. As an encouragement, NAB donated $1000 to the club and will donate whenever any of our members take up a loan with them. We had 'gateau pate d'amande' as dessert with tea or coffee. To our surprise, we watched a DVD of our history. We all enjoyed and laughed at 'Mario and Maria' comedy DVD. What an
awesome night we all had, full of Mauritian flavours ...

Last but not least, we wish to thank specially two of our club members for their initiatives in adding value to this event, one who as a NAB employee prepared the NAB activity and made our club benefit this donation and the other in lending us the DVDs for everyone to enjoy. Thus, anyone can contribute in any of our events.

TOGETHER WE DO BETTER .....

At the Moon Festival Dinner Dance Party, we all had a relaxing night. Dinner was
taken care of. Noodles with chicken and vegetables, moon cakes and tea or coffee were on
the menu. The variety of music was just right and we have all been able to enjoy. It only required a little bit of luck to win the many attractive prizes. The chance of winning any of the prizes was so high that many families were doubly lucky. It has also been a great opportunity to catch up, renew our friendship or make new friends.

In the end, we were appreciative to see how our club members feel their belonging to the club
as they willingly lend a helping hand in their own way to conclude the evening.

FRIENDSHIP IS FOR SHARING .....
